The focus remains entirely on the person being remembered and on the meaning of the words chosen.
A recorded reading can be appropriate when:
• A family member feels unable to speak on the day
• Someone is contributing from abroad
• A service is being led without a celebrant
• A poem or letter needs to be delivered with steadiness
• A memorial gathering is taking place at home or outdoors
The intention is not to replace personal contribution, but to support it.
The delivery is calm, restrained and respectful.

If required, light background music can be added. Many families prefer the recording to remain simple and unadorned.
